On October 12, 2010, Wilma Liebman was a Clason speaker at Western New England College School of Law. She kicked off Public Interest Law Week with her speech entitled "More Rights, Fewer Jobs? Labor Law During Hard Times." She believes that the recession is not over, that we are still living in hard times, and it will take cooperation from business and labor to return to economic prosperity.
Wilma Liebman is the Chairman of the National Labor Relations Board. Previously she was the Deputy Director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. Liebman also served as Labor Counsel for the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen and as Legal Counsel to the International Brotherhood of Teamsters
