This session provided a roadmap for businesses to avoid common problems that arise under employment law. The session was presented by three attorneys with extensive experience and covered issues such as workers compensation insurance, the difference between independent contractors and employees, the importance of implementing an employee handbook, conduction regular performance reviews and effective discipline and documentation; and hiring pitfalls.
