  1. McDonald v. City of Chicago, 130 S. Ct. 3020 (June 28, 20l0)(5-4)(the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms for self-defense in the home, as defined in District of Columbia v. Heller, infra, applies to state and local governments through the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment).

  2. United States v. Comstock, 130 S. Ct. 1949 (May 17, 2010)(7-2)(Congress may, with the aid of the Necessary and Proper Clause, authorize the Government to commit civilly a mentally ill, sexually dangerous federal prisoner, who has served his prison sentence).
